Alder House — After Hours
A historic country house that now hosts exhibitions and summer jazz becomes an experience about the lives, silences and reinventions held inside the estate.
“How can heritage feel alive without turning a cultural venue into a conventional house museum?”
The experience follows the house after public hours. Rooms, gardens and fragments of archival memory are connected through an intimate sound journey in which the building seems to remember different eras of music, conversation and absence.
Visitors move in small groups from the garden into the house as daylight fades. Voice, original jazz-inflected composition and environmental sound reveal layers of the venue without requiring screens or dense interpretation panels.
Craft across story, sound, space and interaction.
A way for historic estates to remain culturally alive: not by freezing the past, but by making it resonate with the artistic life of the present.
